WF1 - WARNER FAMILY TREE and INFORMATION
THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION, GIVING NAMES AND DATES, HAS MOSTLY BEEN TAKEN FROM THE WARNER TREE, WHICH IS LODGED IN THE ALBANY MUSEUM GRAHAMSTOWN, SOUTH AFRICA.

This Warner coat of arms shows the same shield as on my original tree, copy of which is in the Albany Museum, Grahamstown, but the crest shown there appears to be a badger, although some branches of the family have a squirrel.  [However, I have not been able to confirm the coat of arms applicable, if any, to the branch of the family who emigrated from Bristol to South Africa.] The shield with 'a bend engrailed between six (or four) roses gules, barbed vert' seems to be shown on all those that have been traced.
